Surfing

Hawaii invented surfing.

(If you look hard the little dots in the water are surfers).




In Hawaii they say that work is for people who don't surf.

Something fairly common here I'd never seen before is people standing up on surf boards using this long paddle. They use the paddle to get out into the surf and once there to maneuver around.
This is on the north shore of O'ahu (the most populated island). Away from the big city of Honolulu it's celebrated for its surfing.
